'Memories in Sepia'by ~Serephiminelysium

Photography / Conceptual

As a youngster, becoming interested in photography and watching my father and grandfather in their darkrooms was always a special treat for me...
One form of 'manipulation'/'toning' (whatever you will) that always astounded me was sepia toning...
I remember the smell............Man it was bad

...
Nevertheless ...I loved sepia toning on images but I really never mastered it in the darkroom...

Digitally it's faster and alot less smellier

and I really am trying to master it's subtleties..
This image was shot this weekend with the intention of Sepia toning in mind...
It was a scene that so shouted for Sepia..
